An introduction to our school uniform: look smart, work smarter
The Welsh Government's Pupil Development Grant – Access scheme is designed to help parents in difficult circumstances with the purchase of school uniforms.
All pupils from Year 7-13 are expected to attend school in the correct uniform from the start of term.
Footwear: further to a request for clarification, pupils are not permitted to wear trainers or casual sports shoes, black or otherwise, as part of the new school uniform. Shoes should be smart and formal and, where possible, polish-able as these are typically not only the smartest but also the most hardwearing of footwear, they are also typically far more affordable than trainers. For large sizes, pupils can purchase shoes up to size 13 at most supermarkets or at shoe shops such as Shoe Zone.
Ysgol Harri Tudur has a new 3G sports pitch. Built on the site of the former Pembroke School, this artificial sports surface, for rugby and football only, provides a top class facility. But it will need to be looked after, in particular with pupils wearing the correct footwear.
The document below provides further details on what is allowed and, more importantly, what is not; note in particular running spikes and metal studs will ruin the surface as will dropping chewing gum on the pitch. Please help the school keep the pitch in perfect condition.
